The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
